For most people, a business lunch is just part of the job. For Michelle, it was something to quietly dread and carefully manage.
As a professional whose work regularly involved client meetings over meals, she had developed a private strategy: don't eat. It was easier than the alternative — the sudden urgency, the possibility of throwing up, the dash to the restroom, the fear of not making it, or of being stuck there so long that colleagues would notice.
