Seed Crackers

I LOVE THESE CRACKERS! And they are super easy to make and require these simple ingredients:

1 cup flaxseed
1 cup boiling water

2 cups of seeds of your choosing, I like
- ¾ cup raw pumpkin seeds
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- ¾ cup hemp seeds
- ¼ cup sesame seeds

½ tsp salt
(I love Redmond Real Salt – never processed or chemically treated and rich in minerals)
Oil for brushing (I use avocado oil, but use whatever you wish)

This is what you do:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Brush a full sheet pan with avocado oil (or other oil of your choice)
3. Line with parchment paper
4. Brush parchment with oil
5. Combine flaxseed with one cup boiling water in a large bowl and let sit until gooey in consistency (think egg white consistency)
6. Then add 2 cups of seeds and salt
7. Spread evenly onto parchment (don’t spread TOO thin, or it will burn)
8. Brush with oil again
9. Bake for 10 mins at 400 degrees, then remove to score in squares so it’s easier to break apart when done
10. Return to oven and bake for another 15 minutes until golden
11. Drop the temp to 350 degrees, rotate the pan, then bake for 15 minutes or until desired “toasty-ness”
12. Cook on a wire rack, then break apart. Store in airtight container.

You can do anything with these crackers—substitute your favorite seeds, add spices or fresh herbs, hit them with flaky salt or pepper… whatever makes you happy!
